Centre for Financial Accountability joined the Global Week of Action for Climate Finance and a Fossil-Free Future along with our partners. This campaign was run from September 13-20. We used the week to highlight our work against Fossil Fuels on social media, as well as highlighting protests on the ground against fossil fuels. You can check our social media links here:

a. Video from Lawyers against the setting up of Mirzapur Thermal Power Plant, urging that India should be coal free.
b. Director of Centre for Sustainable Development talking about phase out existing infrastructure from coal-based thermal power plants & other fossil fuels to limit global warming to 1.5 °C
c. Activist from Barghi Dam Displacement people talking on phasing out fossil fuels, and increase access to renewable energy. - We also used this time to put out some posters on our work on the following:

Raising concerns regarding the public health impacts of burning garbage in the Waste to Energy incinerators, the CSIR-NEERI has submitted a report to the National Green Tribunal recommending against the WTE incinerators in Delhi. Meanwhile, NGOs from Chennai conducted an awareness meeting in Chennai regarding the potential health, environmental, social, financial, livelihood and climate impacts of the proposed 2100 ton/day WTE incinerator in Chennai.
