Her area of interests are climate change, energy and clean air. She currently represents the India programme of the Global Strategic Communications Council- an international network working to build policy, political and public momentum for rapid climate action and the shift to clean energy.
Ann Josey works as a Senior Research Associate at the Prayas (Energy Group), Pune. She is interested in studying and understanding governance challenges in India’s power sector, the growing role of market operations in the sector and the progress of rural electrification and poverty alleviation. She endeavors to know if and how needs can be met given ecological and economic concerns.
Ashok Sreenivas is a Senior Fellow at Prayas (Energy Group), an organisation that works to promote public interest through policy analysis and advocacy in the energy sector. At Prayas, Ashok works specifically on issues related to energy data and modelling, cooking energy access and the coal-thermal sector. Ashok has a B.Tech and PhD in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
Bhargavi S. Rao is an Independent Researcher with focus on environmental decision-making processes in the context of Mega Infrastructure Projects, Thermal Power Plants, Mining, Renewable Energy, among others. She has worked with Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives, Environment Support Group, the Department of Microbiology and Cell Biology, Indian Institute of Science and as Co-Director of key study abroad programmes in India of Boston University, SIT World Learning, University of Minnesota.
Deepak Krishnan leads WRI India’s work on the clean energy; energy transitions; and water-energy nexus. He is a certified Energy Risk Professional. He has worked on different issues in the Indian electricity sector and worked with different stakeholders – regulators; utilities; private sector companies across the value chain on projects in mining, generation, transmission, distribution and renewable energy.
Joe Athialy works on accountability and transparency issues of national and international financial institutions. He is currently the Executive Director of the Centre for Financial Accountability. Prior to this, he was with the Bank Information Centre, Amnesty International, Narmada Bachao Andolan among others.
K. Ashok Rao is currently a patron of the All India Power Engineers Federation. He was the Convenor of the National Working Group on Power Sector, a non-government think tank. Rao has a B.Tech from the Osmania University, Hyderabad and a Postgraduate in System Science from the Michigan State University, USA.
Kashish Shah is a Research Analyst, at IEEFA with focus on India’s transition to a domestically-fueled, low-emission and low-cost power economy. His research entails financial analysis of India’s power sector. He has previously worked in the Global Analytics Division of the Royal Bank of Scotland with a focus on regulatory policies. He has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Sydney and an engineering degree from NMIMS University in Mumbai.
K. E. Raghunathan is a Managing Director at the Solkar Solar Industry Limited. He has been an entrepreneur in the field of Solar Energy for over three decades. He is the immediate Past National President of All India Manufacturer’s Organisation, which was started by Sir. Dr M Visvesvaraya. Currently, he is a Member of the Central Board of Trustee – EPFO, and Member of National Social Security Board.
K. Vishnu Mohan Rao works at Citizen consumer and Civic Action Group (CAG) on the environment and energy-related issues, with a focus on regulatory law and economics, and governance. He currently coordinates the projects on Electricity Consumer Cells, Electricity Billing Governance, Minsarathai Semipom, and Tamil Nadu-Electricity Supply Monitoring Initiative. He is a member of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum in Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation a forum set-up by the Electricity Act 2003 to adjudicate on electricity-related consumer complaints.
