The workshop primarily looked at the role IFIs are playing in shaping urban infrastructure finance and policy in India. The approaches and methodologies that have been used by the private sector to create alliances within the three tiers of the government. The focus was also on the notions of public accountability guaranteed within IFIs and how global capital must be held responsible to people.
