A Path Towards India’s First People-Centric Zero-Waste City

Green Chennai Initiative is a waste management goal and a roadmap to achieve a “Zero waste city” status. This proposal is an alternative to Waste to Energy (WTE) Incineration project in Chennai and addresses the root cause of waste generation including the production of single use plastics. This people centric approach is results in lesser waste management costs and provides environment, health, social and climate benefits too for all the stakeholders.
