While the climate disaster is only worsening with each passing year, one more conference of world leaders is being convened. COP28- the biggest climate summit of the year. Soumya Dutta, noted environmentalist, reports from Dubai about what to look out for from the venue!

Rich countries are not willing to part with their money, some countries are not willing to part way with carbon fuel, and many don’t give a damn about the conference. This deadly combo is almost successful in making COP28 another lost opportunity.

Mayalmit Lepcha, a prominent Lepcha community leader from Sikkim, India, will advocate for the rights of those battling so-called development projects and the climate crisis at COP 28 in Dubai. She has been associated with Affected Citizens of Teesta (ACT) and is a member of the Global Advocacy Team of International Accountability Project.
