The BRICS Summit took place on 24th June, 2022 with China as the chair. There are a lot of interesting developments taking place within and around the BRICS nations, and it is important that we analyze these developments from a people-centric lens. Every year a number of civil society organizations, trade unions and peopleā€™s movements come together to organize Peopleā€™s BRICS where we try to deliberate on the several aspects of the bloc, the developments over the past year and present a peopleā€™s alternative for what is at best a loose high-level deliberation. This year, we are organizing a roundtable under the Peopleā€™s Forum on BRICS banner where a number of scholars and activists would convene to review the developments in the past year and their implications for BRICS.
