The BRICS Summit took place on 24th June, 2022 with China as the chair. There are a lot of interesting developments taking place within and around the BRICS nations, and it is important that we analyze these developments from a people-centric lens. Every year a number of civil society organizations, trade unions and people’s movements come together to organize People’s BRICS where we try to deliberate on the several aspects of the bloc, the developments over the past year and present a people’s alternative for what is at best a loose high-level deliberation. This year, we are organizing a roundtable under the People’s Forum on BRICS banner where a number of scholars and activists would convene to review the developments in the past year and their implications for BRICS.
